Lessons are starting on 1 February 2016. The training is conducted on Monday, Tuesday and Friday in the evening, 5:30pm – 7:30pm.

The Course Description
• The course is focused on the development of mobile application for android operating system
• Learning material can be provided at Trust Academy which is a registered partner with androidatc.
• The individual is provided with Android international certificate.
• The course is progressive with three core modules and one entrance which are:
1. Java fundamentals for those without programming knowledge
2. Android development for those with programming appreciation.
3. Android security Essentials
4. Monetization application

Course Prerequisites
•For a best learning experience and a quick start with this course, a trainee is required to have adequate knowledge of the content of “Java Fundamentals for Android Development” course. Previous knowledge and experience of any programming language is considered sufficient
Modules to be covered
1. Java Fundamentals for Android™ Development
This applies to individuals who are non- technical, the modules is taken as a bridging course to take on android development module, it gives the student basics of programming which makes the android development module easy to those who are non-technical.
2. An Android ™ Application Development version 5, Lollipop
This is for those who are technical and have done programming as well as have Information Technology programming background.

Career Path

After completing this course, students will be able to:
1. Design and build a complete Android application.
2. Debug and maintain Android applications using different tools and plugins.
3. Thoroughly understand the life-cycle of an Android application and its main components.
4. Use external resources, manifest files, intents and adapters
Understand and use all Android persistent storage techniques: Preferences, files, databases, and content providers.


• The certificate is obtained after writing an online exam after completing each particular module
• Exams are written under vendor Pearson vue

Exams policies
• Android ATC exams are closed book and they are available in English, Each exam consists of 45 multiple choice questions, its duration is 90 minutes, and the passing grade is 70%.

ICT applications for June 2017 Intake for Bsc  in Management Information System (Honors) Degree (BMIS) and Diplomas in Management Information System (DMIS), Telecommunications (DTEL) and Networking and PC Engineering (DNEP) are in progress .These are offered  in collaboration with Midlands State University (MSU) .
