Travel and Tourism student shining in Dubai

I hail from the graceful savanna region of Harare, Zimbabwe of Africa. Many call it a destination but I simply call it home. Tourism being my dream, it is an honour to have studied what I love & succeed at it all at once. Firstly I would like to thank God Almighty for making this dream into a reality. Much applause going to my principal and lecturers who aided in making all the success possible, Mr. Chidembo, Miss Mhlanga & Mr. Muchenje. Ever since I started studying ABE qualifications with Trust Academy, my horizons in respect to knowledge, confidence and skills has broadened. Passing the examinations with distinctions from the the foundation level to the final one is one thing but to go on and win a Top Paper Award brought sweeter joy to the soul but most importantly, it is testament that hard work does pay off. A year after graduation I found myself as a management intern at Cresta Sprayview Hotel, Victoria Falls. There I worked my heart out and engaged in extra curricula that aided in me meeting people who would pave a way torwards my future. With a good recommendation, shortly after internship I was granted the opportunity to soar and excel in the Middle East. I am currently employed at one of the best hotels in Dubai and working my way up the ranks – one day at time. My interests lie in directing projects & events, travelling, learning new aspects of different races such as languages, cultures as well as lifestyles hence the decision of studying Tourism. My aspiration is achieving what others dare not through implementation of ideas that will go on to make an impact in the world of tourism. In a nutshell, one’s career is not limited to a particular position held within any establishment but rather where you envision yourself as you aspire to reach your goal. An enormous thank you to the ABE & Trust Academy team for being my footbridge towards success and realization of my dreams. Finally, to my fellow peers (the youths), “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate but we are powerful beyond measure!” Whatever it is that you are dreaming about, ignore the naysayers and critics, Just Start. God is able, BELIEVE!
